This itinerary is good October 3 – 5, 2007.

DAY ONE

2 – 3:30 pm
Depart on a Fall day to Warrens, WI for a guided tour of the Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center. Learn how cranberries, native to Wisconsin, are such an intriguing little berry. In addition to the museum, the center also houses an old fashioned soda fountain where you can try some cranberry ice cream. Or maybe bring home a cranberry pie or other baked items from the Taste-Test-Kitchen. Save time for shopping in the “berry” unique gift shop. NEW for this season is Cranberry Wine Tasting! Sample a variety of Wisconsin–made cranberry wines.

3:30 – 5:00 pm
Load the motorcoach for a pretty country drive to a cranberry marsh where you will find learning to be entertaining as you discover much of the history of cranberry growing. Did you know Wisconsin is the nations top producer of cranberries?

5 – 8:00 pm
Travel to the vibrant city of Tomah for your overnight accommodations, in two Room Suites, at the Cranberry Country Lodge perfect for groups! Freshen up before dinner and musical entertainment at the lodge.

DAY TWO

9 – 10:30 am
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at one of the local restaurants.

10:30 – 12:30 pm
Next travel to America’s ”Little Switzerland”, New Glarus, WI.

12:30 – 2:00 pm
Stop at any of the local restaurants serving savory Swiss food for lunch.

2 – 3:30 pm
Visit The Swiss Historical Village. Tour 14 buildings, each one representing a facet of daily life in the 19th century pioneering Midwest.

3:30 – 4:30 pm
Tour the Chalet of the Golden Fleece Museum. Marvel at this collection of one–of–kind antiques and treasures. Edwin Barlow, built the Chalet in 1937 and always returns with additions to his ever-expanding collection. So there is something new to see in every visit.

4:30 – 5:30 pm
Stay at the Chalet Landhaus, a delightful Inn built in traditional Swiss style with a perfect blend of modern convenience.

5:30 – 7:00 pm
This evening dine on Swiss or American cuisine at the hotel’s Alpine restaurant.

7 – 8:30 pm
After dinner enjoy entertainment from a Swiss Yodeler, while sipping on some wine or another cold beverage.

DAY THREE

7 – 8:30 am
Start your day right with the Chalet Landhaus Breakfast Buffet.

8:30 – 10:00 am
Bid New Glarus a fond farewell and travel northward to Baraboo, WI.

10 – 12:00 pm
Here we visit the International Crane Center for a guided tour. See different species, including the endangered Whooping Crane, view chicks, and enjoy art exhibits and trails winding through tall grass prairie.

12:00 pm
Return home after your full experience of Wisconsin’s Cranberries and Swiss Villages.
