Arrive in Mishicot, WI and check into the beautiful Fox Hills Resort, Wisconsin’s premier 4 seasons resort! Enjoy the complimentary welcome reception that changes with the seasons. The Resort’s convenient dining options have everything you need. The wonderful Willowview Restaurant, Benchwarmers Sports Bar serving up “ginormous” sandwiches, and the 19th Hole Bar and Grill, providing refreshments and sandwiches for a quick grab ‘n go option.
12:30 – 2:00 pm
Venture out to Two Rivers, WI., for a tour of Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum. The only museum dedicated to the preservation, study, production and printing of wood type and is operated by volunteers of the Two Rivers Historical Society. At 40,000 square feet, it’s no doubt one of the largest functional workshops in the world. Hosting thousands of visitors every year.
2 – 3:15 pm
Your group will be delighted to know they are in the Home of the Ice Cream Sundae! Visit the Historic Washington House for a treat. This warm 1850s inn features Berners’ Ice Cream parlor commemorating the invention of the ice cream sundae.
3:15 – 6:00 pm
Board the coach to Kewaunee for a tour of Parallel 44 Vineyard and Winery. Their tour is one of the most unique winery tours in Wisconsin – including a walk in the vineyard in addition to the production facility. Enjoy “A Taste of the Tundra”!
6 – 7:30 pm
Return to Fox Hills for a lovely dinner in the Willowview Restaurant. Enjoy views of the golf course and the surrounding Manitowoc County area as you dine.
The evening is yours to enjoy the indoor swimming pool, exercise room or perhaps a relaxing massage in their onsite spa.
8 – 9:30 am
Join the group for breakfast downstairs. (Maybe a swim or a round of golf 1st if you’re an early riser).
9:30 – 11:00 am
Travel to Manitowoc for a tour of the beautiful restored Capitol Civic Center.
It features a large ornate auditorium, plus an equally decorative lobby. The restored theatre now serves as a community performing arts center.
11 – 1:00 pm
Head to Kiel, WI where Henning’s Wisconsin Cheese welcomes your group. This fourth generation family owned cheese factory features an on-site Cheese Store and Museum. They offer a wide variety of cheese, including many that have won national and world awards. Sample cheese and wine and also view the actual cheese-making process unfold in the factory itself.
1 – 2:30 p m
Arrive in Plymouth, WI for lunch at 52 Stafford. This historic inn provides very up town service for a small town. Their Irish cooking is tasty on the tongue, while filling and wholesome for the body and spirit.
2:30 – 4:30 pm
Plymouth history has been hand-painted on exterior walls throughout downtown, called the Wall Dogs. Follow up with a tour of Plymouth Historical Society, displaying several large collections including exhibits featuring the fire department, a blacksmith shop, World War II and Native American artifacts.
4:30 – 6:30 pm
Direct the coach towards Lake Michigan and Sheboygan, WI. Enjoy happy hour and a delicious German dinner at Al and Al’s Steinhaus and The Tavern, serving the area for over 45 years!
Return to Fox Hills for a restful night, as tomorrow is another day in Manitowoc County. Perhaps some Lake Michigan charter fishing is the ticket for today!
