This package features fine dining, elegant amenities and some of the finest attractions this 160-year-old harbor town has to offer. During this tour, your group will discover Marquette’s rich history and see many of its magnificent old homes and red sandstone buildings.


3 – 5:00 p.m.

Arrive in Marquette Country; one of the most elegant small cities in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Check in at a Marquette area lodging facility and enjoy a welcome reception presented by the Marquette Country CVB.

5 – 8:00 p.m.

Downtown Marquette

Downtown Marquette

Travel to the historic Landmark Inn in downtown Marquette. Tour some of the nicest available rooms, followed by dinner from a limited menu at the Skyroom Restaurant on the top floor of the Landmark Inn.

8:00 p.m.

Enjoy some rest and relaxation at your hotel.


8:30 – 9:00 a.m.

Breakfast at your hotel.

9 – 12:00 p.m.

Meet your CVB representative and hop on your motorcoach for a sightseeing tour of Marquette Country. Visit Marquette’s Historic Home and Harbor District, Presque Isle Park and over 7 miles of scenic Lake Superior shoreline.

12 – 1:30 p.m.

Travel to Upfront & Company and enjoy a group lunch off a limited menu. Relax in this unique atmosphere and enjoy great American cuisine and quality service. Then it’s off to the Marquette Maritime Museum!

1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Marquette Maritime Museum

Marquette Maritime Museum

The Marquette Maritime Museum tells a rich, rewarding story of the maritime heritage of Marquette and Lake Superior. Exhibits include birch bark canoes, a “Fresno” lighthouse lens, mini-auditorium, antique inboard & outboard motors, restored boats, shipwreck charts & displays, 40’ coast guard vessels, ore boat flags and related memorabilia. The museum is on the National Register of Historic Places.

3 – 5:00 p.m.

Do some shopping and sightseeing on your own for the remainder of the afternoon in downtown Marquette. Reunite with your group at Doncker’s Candy & Gifts for a Dutch treat sundae or ice cream cone.

5 – 6:00 p.m.

Arrive at your Marquette lodging facility and freshen up for dinner.

6 – 8:00 p.m.

Have a delicious group dinner at the Casa Calabria Italian Restaurant in the Village; a dining experience in a festive Italian atmosphere with pasta, pizza, steaks and more!


8 – 8:30 a.m.

Breakfast at your hotel.

8:30 – 10:00 a.m.

Relax during the scenic drive along Lake Superior to the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tour on Munising Bay.

10 – 12:30 p.m.

Experience a fully narrated 2-hour tour viewing three Lake Superior shipwrecks and the East Channel Lighthouse. Take some time to visit the gift shop after the tour.

12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

The Dogpatch Restaurant is famous for their seafood and steaks. Experience the large menu selection and the Legendary Vittles & Gift Shop!

1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Pictured Rocks Tour

Take a scenic drive to Munising Falls on the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The park is located on the shoreline of Lake Superior encompassing cliffs, dunes, waterfalls and lakes with an onsite interpretive center.

3 – 5:30 p.m.

Dine at Elizabeth’s Chop House, located in Marquette’s historic waterfront district. The outdoor seating overlooking the famous Lower Harbor of Lake Superior makes it a perfect destination for dinner. After your meal, the group can take some time to enjoy downtown.
