A Central MN Mississippi Experience

This sample itinerary can be customized for any time of year.

10:00am – 1:00pm
Start off your adventure at Millner Heritage Winery in Kimball, MN. This winery is a celebration of Austrian and Hungarian heritage. Choose from a riding vineyard tour or a winery tour—or do both! Taste ripe grapes and journey through the process of winemaking from grape to bottle. Enjoy a beautiful lunch at the winery before heading to your next stop.

1 – 1:30pm
Travel to Clearwater, MN.

1:30 – 5:30pm
Get your group out on the water! Clearwater Outfitters will equip your groups with everything they need to canoe down the Mississippi or go kayak fishing on Warner Lake. Their river trips take place on a stretch of the Mississippi designated by the DNR as “wild and scenic.” Warner Lake is a small non-motorized lake that is calm, scenic and full of wildlife. Make a trip to the southern shore for a large picnic area and a sandy swimming beach.

5:30 – 6:00pm
Travel to St. Cloud, MN.

6 – 7:30pm
Welcome to St. Cloud! Dinner this evening will be downtown at Nick’s 3rd Floor restaurant. With a menu built around “what Minnesota has to offer,” your groups can eat comfortably knowing that the majority of what is on their plate came from within a 25-mile radius of St. Cloud.

7:30 – 9:30pm
Close out your day with a show at one of St. Cloud’s two historic theaters. The Paramount offers amazing community theatre and national touring musicians. Or try out Pioneer Place on Fifth, home to professional theatre and more than 150 nights a year of live, local musicians.

Get a good night’s rest at one of St. Cloud’s many group-friendly hotels.

10 – 11:00am
What better way to spend the morning than with a stroll along the Mississippi River? Munsinger & Clemens Gardens welcomes you to their beautiful botanical paradise and scenic walking paths. Your groups will want to bring their cameras! Events take place in the gardens periodically and there is a garden gift shop for everyone to explore.

11:00am – 12:00pm
Travel to Little Falls, MN.

12 – 2:00pm
The Minnesota Fishing Museum is a place where memories come alive and stories are told of days gone by. The collection of over 10,000 artifacts related to Minnesota fishing is beautifully displayed and lovingly maintained for your enjoyment.
