Bellevue’s True Riverfront Itinerary

Nestled between towering wooded bluffs and bordered by the mighty Mississippi, Bellevue offers an assortment of venues to relax with nature, enjoy shopping and dining, and participate in festivities throughout the year. Let their experts be your guide.

Itinerary

10 – 10:30 am

Bellevue literally translates to “beautiful view.” A representative from Bellevue’s chamber will step on to welcome and introduce you to the spectacular views up and down the Mississippi River that gave the town its name.

10:30 – 11:30 am

Take a tour of the city, set on a small hill, lending to a very nice overlook to watch the massive Lock & Dam #12 in action.

11:30 – 12:30 pm

Have lunch at one of Bellevue’s many restaurants: Water Street Market/The Happy Bean, Riverview Hotel & Restaurant, Off Shore Bar & Grill. Whatever your group is craving, there’s a place to satisfy it.

12:30 – 3:00 pm

Board the coach for “The Little Wine Trail” offered by Bush Creek Winery and Iowa Grape Vines Winery. Your group will be delighted with these wineries. Enjoy wine tasting, or for those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages, the Iowa Grape Vines Winery also has a Juicery; try their 100% Grape Juice, Wine Jellies and Grape Jams & Jellies.

3 – 5:00 pm

Take some free time to visit the riverfront shops for collectibles, gifts, clothing and books. Tour the museum and other historical sites in town.

5 – 8:30 pm

Dinner at one of Bellevue’s fine eating establishments overlooking the river; the Spruce Harbor Inn is a great choice. Stroll along the Riverfront Path or visit one of the live music venues.
